Why the name
Named after a WordPress function
apply_filters() is the WordPress function that lets a plugin adjust a value before WordPress uses it. It is how good plugins work with WordPress instead of against it, and it is how we want every ApplyFilters plugin to behave: careful changes that fit the way WordPress already works.
Who leads it
Built by a WordPress contributor
ApplyFilters is led by Ankit Panchal, who has been credited in 15 of the last 18 WordPress releases. Ankit also founded WPFolks, a free community for people who work with WordPress.

Free first
Every plugin starts free on WordPress.org, where the plugin team reviews it before it is listed.
Built in the open
All our plugins are GPL-licensed, and five are developed in public on GitHub.
