How applyfilters.com collects and uses personal data. Last updated: 21 October 2026.

Who we are

ApplyFilters is a brand of WPAnkit Labs LLP, a limited liability partnership based in Pune, India. We are responsible for the personal data collected through applyfilters.com. You can reach us at a@wpankit.com.

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover:

  • Data our plugins handle on your own WordPress site. Each plugin’s page on WordPress.org describes what it does.
  • Pro purchases. Pro licenses are sold through Freemius, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

In short

  • We don’t sell your personal data, show ads or ask you to create an account.
  • We collect what you send us through the contact form, and basic visit statistics.
  • The site runs on WordPress.com, so Automattic processes some data for us.

What we collect and why

Messages you send us

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the plugin you mention and your message. The form also records your IP address and browser details so spam can be blocked. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. Messages are stored in this site’s WordPress database and sent to our email inbox.

Visit statistics

We use Jetpack Stats, a WordPress.com service, to count page views and see which sites send visitors to us. To do this it processes your IP address, browser details, the pages you visit and the page you came from. We see only totals, such as views per day, not individual visitors.

Server logs

Our host, WordPress.com, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, browser details and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.

Where data protection law asks for a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to messages and running a secure, working website.

Services we use

  • WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic): hosting, visit statistics and image delivery. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
  • Akismet (Automattic): checks contact form messages for spam.
  • WordPress.org: the plugin icons on our Home and Plugins pages load from WordPress.org’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details when they do. See WordPress.org’s privacy policy.
  • Freemius: handles checkout for Pro licenses on our product sites.

These services may process data outside India, including in the United States.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set advertising cookies or cookies of its own. WordPress.com and Jetpack may set cookies their services need, for example for security or when you are signed in to WordPress.com. See Automattic’s cookie policy.

Who we share data with

We don’t sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the services listed above so they can do their job, or when the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of our support. You can ask us to delete them at any time. Visit statistics and server logs are kept by Automattic under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop using it for a purpose you object to

Email a@wpankit.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

This site is for people who build and run WordPress sites. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
